Auntie Energy

I am actively inspried by amazing and courageous women. I am forever indebted for their guidance and encouragement through my life. Honoring such inspirations, through my art of home, became an obvious next venture for The Stay Haven. The Stay Haven loungewear collection, to date, echoes feelings associated with home (the domicile) through the strategic naming of our sets and shades (i.e. Sanctuary, Oasis). However, the journey of building The Stay Haven has taught me that “home” is a multifaceted concept. Home isn’t just a building or space. Home is the feeling you experience when in the company of a certain person. Home is the comfort, satisfaction, and enjoyment of being in the company of yourself and all of your vulnerabilities. Home, in its various forms, gives us permission to be who we are and the space to grow into who we want to be. For my upcoming launch, i wanted the name of the new set to be reminiscent of women who make me feel at home through their hospitality, candor, authenticity, and unwavering support. The term “Auntie” is often used to describe a woman that embodies style, solace, confidence, mentorship, and is overall GOALS to her nieces and nephews (biological or not). It is a term of endearment that is affectionally used to describe individuals in our lives that we look up to. On Monday April 18th, The Stay Haven will be launching its newest loungewear set, The Auntie. The Auntie loungewear set is an ode to three incredible women in my life. My Mom, Michelle, who most people know as “Mucci” and my two Aunties- Patsy and Sandra. These women have been influential in my life; they are continuously there to support me. I’ve always wanted to mirror their strength and intelligence. The first shade of The Auntie loungewear set, Mucci, is a rich neutral that is flattering to women across all complexions and silhouettes. Shades Patsy and Sandra will be coming soon….
